John Gilpin Pub

After memories of passing this place and being dropped off in the carpark back in the college days, seeing the pub boarded up meant it’s been on the list to explore for quite some time.

Churchgate Hotel

Updated revisit, 10/01/2016. Scroll down!

Interesting explore this “local” one was, I was amazed to find majority of the furniture and appliances still stored inside! Unfortunately our visit was cut short after setting the alarms off one too many times, so not many picture… not that anyone actually arrived, however we thought we had pushed our luck a little too much already.

Vagrant Cells

With a very cold -3c start, we were off to  the Vagrant Cells in Melton Mowbray. Not really knowing what we were looking for, we immediately discovered the main building was abandoned and looked nothing like the pictures we had come across online of the cells.

SRHQ 4.2 Regional Government Bunker

UPDATE!! February 24, 2016 (Scroll to the bottom!)

After hearing rumours of this place undergoing works I thought I would go see what was going on as I was in the area. On approach my jaw hit the floor with the horrors of what used to be Sovereign House, it’s gone! Is it wrong to feel slightly emotionally attached to a bunker that kick started my love for urbex when I was a kid?

Picardy

Not much information on this one and not going to share too much. A lonely little “shack”, as I like to call it, located somewhere in Essex that amazingly I drove past every single day and didn’t even notice it until a fellow urbexer pointed it out to me.

Good little explore and was great to kill half an hour, there wasn’t too much to see other than the “shack” itself which was in a pretty bad way.

“Lost World Cottage”

Something different this one, a small cottage abandoned and lost in another time. However the cottage itself was not my main attraction to this one, it was simply the owners amazing collection of classic cars, seemingly rusting away in a car graveyard to the rear of the property. The location of said property is remaining quiet to protect it from the eBay warriors.
