Stumbling across a news article about this Allen Williams Turret that had recently been listed alongside a busy duel carriageway, with the bonus of being local gave the perfect opportunity to get out for fresh air.

Heavy Anti Aircraft Gun Battery
Nestled somewhere between Essex and Hertfordshire is a little known about cold war anti aircraft battery. Unfortunately nothing much remains apart from what I can work out are the concrete control bunkers and the AA platforms themselves arranged in a sort of semi circle formation.

Unfortunately a a semi failed attempt as the site is now near totally under water and without scuba gear or at least some very good waders, there was no entrance to the tunnels or any rooms at all. With the extent of flooding we cannot imagine it will ever be accessible.
