After a year off the urbex game, an itch needed scratching and I am back with a nice local explore only 15 mins down the road!
Aldwych Tube Station
Back in the game with a permission visit to London’s Aldwych Station with Hidden London on what’s turned out to be the hottest day of the year so far.
The Dover saga continues with the third trip back into Kent with the sights set on good old Dumpy B. Another spot we missed on the previous trip.
Langdon Searchlight Battery
Knowing of this place but not knowing just how much it had been renovated for public access made this feel a little less like an urbex trip, yet still worth the visit.
Lydden Spout Deep Level Shelter
Heading from nearby St Margaret’s Deep Shelter, onto Lyden Spout Shelter and the odd surface level feature from the remains of the Battery.
St Margaret’s Deep Shelter
Knowing this was here but not knowing where to look, saw us another trip across the country to Dover to check out a deep level shelter with the most fun yet potentially dangerous entrance.
Road Of Remembrance Bunker
Another location that’s been on the list for quite some time and exploring the day nearby in Dover, made perfect sense to head over the short trip to the Road of Remembrance Bunker.
Lydden Hill Ammo Store
Tired with the usual struggle for any worth while explores and fully aware that Dover is abundant with war time history made for the ideal destination.
Bawdsey East Lane Battery
A failed re-attempt at a well known nearby spot and a long walk to another nearby lesser known spot, we found ourselfs wondering where to head next.
High Down Rocket Test Site
At a very windy corner of the Isle of Wight, at the well known edge of The Needles, sits this rocket testing facility built to secretly test space rockets.
