Missing the boat with the rest of the Pyestock site, the Anechoic Facility has been high on the list of places to see for quite some time and despite missing the boat, it was not a disappointment.
After some time sharing locations between a fellow explorer, I decided to share my holy grail of urbex maps which in turn lead us to organising a day trip to none other than Stewartby Brickworks.
In search of something different to the normal and being nearby another explore, Old Warden Railway Tunnel seemed the ideal place to stop.
There’s a first time for everything and this comes in the form of a permission visit to the disused Jubilee line platforms at Charing Cross with Hidden London.
Taking an unlikely turn from my usual self and deciding to walk to work for a change, I stumbled across this… thing, that I have no idea what it is.
Heading north from my usual area of abode to pick up myself a new 4 wheeled toy (none from this report of course) and seeing this place was nearby, what better opportunity for a mooch.
After seeing this place posted on a few forums it was straight at the top of the list of places to visit. After a few questions and a few leads we had our access and at the soonest opportunity we found ourselves at the site along with the man Uncharted World himself.
Decided this would be the night to step up the photography game and with a rather awesome new tripod investment and avoiding the auto mode all night long I got what are possibly the best exploring shots yet. We even decided to do a little light painting with blue LEDs, because we could of course.
Rather unexpected explore this one after being kicked out of another location, this was next on the list! Not to everyone’s taste but good for a little mooch around none-the-less. As always here’s a little history on the place sourced on the interwebs.
