Urbex DevilKnowing about this site for a good few years now but totally slipping my mind, we finally got the opportunity to explore this place and with some new faces too. A first night time explore for myself so my pictures are pretty pants, but you win some and you loose some and a great explore none-the-less.
Another slightly failed attempt from today, but definitely on a return visit card. I almost wasn’t going to bother uploading these due to the distinct lack of pictures but from what I did manage to get shows what could have been an amazing explore.
American military forces were first stationed at High Wycombe in 1942, shortly after the United States’ formal entrance into the Second World War. So urgent was the action that Wycombe Abbey School, situated on the land that would become the station, was given three weeks to find new facilities; failure in this effort led to the school’s closing, until the independent girl’s school was returned by the US in 1945.
