Urbex DevilGreat little explore this one, though little is the key word there. Great to kill some time though! Unfortunately most of the internals had been removed apart from a table, toilet and two chairs.

Strugling to find many details on Houghton Grange and only being small number of reports online, from what I do know though is The facility was a government owned animal testing facility. The site is pretty secure with high tech wizardry cameras and the main building itself appeared to be under redevelopment so we were unfortunately unable to gain access, however a large number of outer buildings were accessible and have been pictured.
Return to this one to finish off the sections we missed back in October last year. Absolute massive site, however still not sharing that location 😉
American military forces were first stationed at High Wycombe in 1942, shortly after the United States’ formal entrance into the Second World War. So urgent was the action that Wycombe Abbey School, situated on the land that would become the station, was given three weeks to find new facilities; failure in this effort led to the school’s closing, until the independent girl’s school was returned by the US in 1945.
Not much history on this one, or more so none we would like to share anyway 😉 Also testing out our new DSLR on this trip!
Unfortunately a a semi failed attempt as the site is now near totally under water and without scuba gear or at least some very good waders, there was no entrance to the tunnels or any rooms at all. With the extent of flooding we cannot imagine it will ever be accessible.
